Pastor John Completes his Interim Calling at Moreland Pres
It seems like only yesterday when we called John Ailstock as our Interim Pastor (March 2014). In this short period of time he has really touched us all. We are so grateful that we were able to have John lead us during this critical transition time.
Immediately John was accepted and there was a feeling that our church was in good hands. The Sunday morning worship was something you did not want to miss. His sermons week after week have been moving, relevant and uplifting.
It is important to note that during the first months being with us he was able to join the Mission Study Committee in their work of developing Mission Study Report for the church and for the PNC committee that would be established in the months ahead. John’s role was to listen, to give advice, to clarify things and just be available for support. He was more than a valuable resource to the Committee.
As we look forward to new pastoral leadership our hearts are saddened to realize changes are underway. We wish John and Katie the very best as they look to new opportunities and new ways to serve the Lord. We are very confident that wherever John’s ministry might lead him, those who will be ministered by him will gain a wonderful leader on their spiritual journey.
John and Katie, we will miss you both greatly and may God bless you in all that lies ahead.
