Women and Friends of Moreland Event

May 18 from 7-9:00 p.m.

Holly Schoenbeck will host a gathering at her home for fellowship and discussion of the book  “Hillybilly Elegy – A Memoir of a Family and Culture in Crisis” by J.D. Vance.

From Sherrey Meyer: “Vance simply states the current mindset of those living in this area of our country: forgotten, jobless, often homeless, uneducated, poor, in poor health, hungry, unable to better themselves.”

From Charmaine Coleman: “This book is an easy read, enjoyable and published in 2016. It will change the way you view anyone who is not both white and middle/upper class.”

The book is available from Amazon and the Multnomah County Library in book form or as an ebook. Please RSVP to sarah@morelandpresbyterian.com
