Mainspring PDX Food Drive Continues at Moreland through April 15

One of the central parts of our life together at Moreland is helping others in need. We have been partnering with Mainspring (formerly FISH) for many years in helping to keep their food pantry supplied. While our economy is strong overall, that doesn’t extend to low-income Portland residents. Even many working parents are not able to provide basics for their families because of underemployment and low wages. Any ways you can help bridge this gap of crucial need is greatly appreciated. The most essential needs are:

  • Protein (i.e. tuna, chili, peanut butter)
  • Cereals
  • Canned fruit/veggies
  • Personal items: shampoo, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, clothing
  • Extra grocery bags

Please place items in the Mainspring barrels located at the double glass doors off Narthex or single glass door off parking lot. Thanks so much for your help in sharing God’s love in tangible, life-giving ways!
