Do you think your friend would like LOGOS? Invite them to come on Jan. 24! Please email their name to the LOGOS leaders by Jan. 20 so we can plan for dinner.
GET READY TO GET YOUR AUCTION ON!
Our first meeting of the year will be 1/20/17! Since our last meeting of 2016 was cancelled due to weather, we are having our auction on 1/20. Everyone will get their own supply of mad money to use towards the various items that will come before the group to bid on.
Have extra items around the house? Feel free to bring anything you want to auction off – for extra intrigue you can wrap it up!
Come ready for some fun!!

Dec. 4 — Decorating the Chrismon Tree at the beginning of worship at 9:30 a.m.
Chrismons are ornaments (often handmade of white, silver and gold) that are symbols of Christ—like a dove, a lamp and many types of crosses. After everyone has had a chance to place an ornament on our Chrismon Tree it is lit up for the Advent Season and Christmas.
— Children (who aren’t in LOGOS) will have a second chance to learn their pageant song during Sunday School.
— Advent Wreath-making 3:00-4:30 p.m.
We will be making Advent Wreaths in the “Della Robbia” style, and feature decorations of apples, cherries, grapes and pomegranates. Each of these fruits gives us a symbol to reflect upon during the Advent Season. This is an adult gathering with children welcome to create alongside us. Our afternoon includes an Advent Devotional and refreshments. $5 fee to cover material cost. RSVP is required to Sarah by November 28.
Dec. 10 — Christmas Pageant Dress Rehearsal 9:00—10:30 a.m. (Sunday School children come at 10:00). After rehearsal there will be a hot chocolate bar hosted by our wonderful LOGOS grandmas from 10:30-11:00.
Dec. 11 — “Once Upon a Starry Night” pageant performance during worship at 9:30.
Dec. 13 — Pageant songs and carols at Westmoreland Manor
This will be our second year to bring holiday cheer to our neighbors at Westmoreland Manor. We will meet at the manor ( 6404 SE 23rd Ave,) at 5:00. Children will sing pageant songs for residents and then everyone will sing traditional Christmas carols. We’ll gather back at the church at 6:00 for dinner. This event is open to all but you must RSVP for dinner!
Dec. 24 — Christmas Eve Family-Friendly Service at 5:00 featuring LOGOS Choir and Moreland Bellringers.
Dec. 25 — Christmas Day Fireside Service at 11:00 a.m. Because Christmas is on a Sunday this year we have an opportunity for a special worship experience. Come as you are (pajamas welcome!) and gather around the fire with your Moreland Church family.
Please consider having lunch or dinner at our neighborhood Laughing Planet (4110 SE Woodstock Blvd) on Dec. 6. They will be donating a percentage of profits that day to Moreland MOPS! This would also be a great time to shop for gift cards!
