Civil War Competition for FISH Emergency Services

Shake some feathers or break the dam.  The Ducks and Beavers are at it again.  This November, fill the barrel and take your team to victory.  The barrels can be found in the church narthex.  All food will be donated to FISH Emergency Services, which provides emergency food boxes to families in need who live in Southeast, Northeast and North Portland.  Especially needed are canned foods such as soups, chili, tuna and vegetables; and packaged foods such as cereal, rice, pasta and peanut butter.

September Food Drive Update

On Sept. 21 children and families filled 4 wagons with food donations from our neighbors on 18th and 19th avenues.  Adding that to the food brought in from Moreland families we were able to deliver 725 lbs. of  food plus a cash donation equal to 300 more pounds to FISH—over 1000 lbs. total.  Sue Carter reports she has never seen the shelves at FISH so depleted.  There was much joy as our food donation was unloaded.  Thanks to all who supported this drive.
