Planning to visit?

1. How to get here

1814 SE Bybee Blvd
Portland, OR 97202 (map)
(503)-234-8404

2. Questions and getting connected

We always have someone at the door to welcome you. Feel free to say hello and let us know if you have any questions. Our Head Pastor Brian Marsh and our Associate Pastor Joshua Dunham will be glad to meet you.  You’ll find lots of friendly faces downstairs in our Fellowship Hall during Coffee Hour following the service.

3. Style of worship

It’s undeniable—every church has a style of worship. Some have chosen to define theirs with terms like “traditional” or “contemporary”. We highly value all of our generations worshiping together in unity. This is challenging with so many style preferences. But, it’s when we humbly lay aside our own desires that our worship is truly honoring to God—no matter what the style.

4. During the worship time
  • Please silence phones and pagers
  • Participate only as you feel comfortable
  • Bibles and hymnals can be found in the pews
  • Childcare is provided for toddlers to 3 years
  • Sunday School: Children age 4 through 5th grade.  The core of our curriculum is Godly Play. Come check out this amazing Montessori based Sunday School.
5. What to wear

We’d like you to wear whatever is comfortable for you. Some of us like to take the opportunity to dress up a bit. Others of us have a more casual approach. You’ll find all kinds of styles among us.

6. Come as you are

We already covered “What to Wear”, but this is even more important. Don’t delay your visit until you think it’s the perfect time or you are exactly where you want to be in life.  Just come as you are. We do.

7. No expectations

You are our guest Please don’t be worried that you will get “roped” into something you weren’t expecting. Our only expectation for you is that you’ll go home feeling welcomed and loved.

8. Children’s program

Please introduce yourselves to us in the lobby.  We will be happy to help you find your way around and get your kids to childcare or to the appropriate Sunday School rooms.  Children are welcome to stay in the service the whole time or go to Sunday School. For more information on children’s programs click here.

9. Child check-In

Toddler Care – through 3 years is available in our large, well-equipped playroom beginning at 9:15 until the conclusion of the worship service.  You can check in your child at the beginning of the service or keep them with you in the worship service and take them to the playroom after the “Time for Children”.

Sunday School (4 years to 5th grade)

Children aged preschool through 5th grade join their parents in the worship service at 9:30. After the “Time for Children” they are invited downstairs to age-appropriate classrooms. If this is your child’s first time in Sunday School please come down with them to their Sunday School classroom.

The core of our Sunday curriculum is Godly Play .

Parents proceed downstairs to the classroom at the conclusion of the worship service around 10:30 to pick up their student.
